Idol- Definitely on it's way out

The new season of American Idol premiered last night on FOX, with its lowest ratings in 4 years.

Ratings were down 13% from last year. 

However it was still the most watched program on TV last night, so it is not dead. But I wouldn't expect great things from it anymore.
